Instructions
Mix the softened cream cheese, 1 Tablespoon chipotle chilies, and spices in a medium bowl until thoroughly combined.
Chill overnight (see note).
To serve, garnish with remaining two tablespoons of chipotle chilies in adobo sauce and freshly chopped cilantro, if desired.
Notes
Keep in mind that the flavor will intensify as it chills overnight. So go slowly when adding in extra garlic salt or onion powder.If you are in a pinch, you can use regular paprika instead of smoked paprika.While you can use this immediately after mixing it, letting this chill overnight will yield the most flavorful results.Make 5-7 days in advance, and refrigerate leftovers. I recommend discarding any unused portion after 7 days.
