This tart, floral drink is perfect for a variety of social situations. Its beautiful pink color lends itself especially well to baby showers. If you have sober or sober-curious guests at dinner, this is perfect for them. Likewise, it's ideal for backyard summertime entertaining where guests want a lighter drink as compared to Rose Lemonade (which is a variation of pink lemonade) or Rose Iced Tea.
Why You'll Love It
- It's non-alcoholic! You can have an awesome alcohol-free drink without sacrificing the cool factor.
- Easy to alter quantities! You can easily make a single serving to enjoy solo, or you can scale it up as a pitcher mocktail for a group.
- It's gorgeous! When hosting guests, presentation matters. The contrast of the pink drink with the lime garnishes makes for a beautiful drink.
Some fun background information
Did you know that ginger beer is non-alcoholic? It's well known that ginger ale is non-alcoholic, but there is often confusion about ginger beer. Check out my Ginger Ale Vs Ginger Beer (A Quick Overview) for more information.

Ingredients
- Rose Syrup - Rose syrup is the primary sweetener for the Rose Ginger Lime Sparkler. It should be fresh and chilled when you use it. While I recommend using homemade rose syrup, you can certainly buy it! Monin Rose Syrup, Collins Rose Simple Syrup, and Royal Rose Syrups are my three recommendations if you want to purchase it.
- Ginger beer - Choose a ginger beer you like! Since ginger beers vary in strength, I recommend doing a taste test to ensure the flavors are balanced to your preference. If you're using a stronger ginger beer, you might need to use less of it to prevent the rose flavor from being overpowered. Related: Ginger Ale vs Ginger Beer
- Fresh Limes - Fresh lime juice is ideal. Even though there are some high-quality bottled lime juices available, the slight powdery taste of bottled lime juice will come through, interfering with the other flavors. Related: How to Pick the Best Limes
- Rosewater - Rose water will not add any taste to the drink, but it will greatly enhance its flavor. See the Ingredients section of my Rose Lemonade recipe to learn more about taste versus flavor.
See recipe card for quantities.
Variations
Use ginger ale instead of ginger beer if you want a sweeter and less peppery flavor profile. I recommend doing a taste test if you make this swap because it might be too sweet.
Use low-sugar or diet ginger beer if you want a less sweet drink. Alternatively, you could crush a few slices of ginger in plain sparking water and use that in lieu of the ginger beer.

Tips
Chill the ingredients before - For the best flavor, chill all the ingredients beforehand. Because the lime juice can break down the rose flavor quickly, it's best to mix the ingredients just before guests arrive. Having the ingredients already chilled also ensures the drink isn't unduly diluted once it's poured over ice.
Hosting Tips
Chill the glasses if you can! This formal, elegant step adds to the sophistication of serving this drink. You can do this by placing the glasses in the freezer for 20-30 minutes before serving the drink. Or, you can fill the glasses with ice as they wait on the countertop while you mix the Rose Ginger Lime Non-Alcoholic Sparkler.
FAQ
The difference is primarily the sugar content or how sweet they taste. Ginger beer will typically have less sugar and be more peppery. Gingle ale will typically have more sugar and be less peppery. For more reading, head over to my Ginger Ale vs Ginger Beer.
